Summer Leadership Program

The Summer Leadership Program (SLP) provides an enriching environment when school is out. SLP helps members broaden their worldview through international study, allows them to explore the city through fun and educational activities, and helps them gain skills for entering the workforce. Each year we adjust and diversify our program offerings to best respond to our members needs.

Our Program Includes:

International Study Program (ISP)

Our International Study Program is a natural continuation of our emphasis on leadership development, Pan-African and Latino history and culture, and global awareness.

Summer Day Camp

For seven weeks after the school year ends, Summer Day Camp gives our youngest members a place to go to have fun and grow in a nurturing environment.

Summer Leadership Program

The Summer Leadership Program engages 9th – 12th graders in a summer of arts and activism! High School students can choose activities ranging from visual and digital artmaking to social and environmental justice organizing, from workforce internships to wellness activities, and much more!

7th – 8th graders engage in our middle school day camp. Daily activities focus on team building, life skills and leadership development. Through weekly trips and excursions middle school members are exposed to the many opportunities our city has to offer.

"I believe so deeply in the life-saving work that The Brotherhood Sister Sol is dedicated to: values and skills building that empower young people and keep them on course; helping young people to see and develop the extraordinary within themselves; ensuring their safe passage to adulthood. It is surely one of the most incredible organizations in the nation. Their work is catalytic! Their leadership, their services and outcomes are without peer. Simply put, The Brotherhood Sister Sol does the work that few others will or even know how to do…. They have answered the call to repair the village, to secure the children. It’s our responsibility to ensure they have all they need to do God’s work."
