Celebrating 25 Years: Voices

Ziegfeld Ballroom (141 West 54th Street)

After much deliberation, The Brotherhood Sister Sol has made the difficult but inevitable decision to cancel our Voices 25th Anniversary Celebration due to the COVID crisis. Nothing is more important than protecting the health and safety of our supporters, our members, and the broader community.

For questions about sponsorships, please contact John Dumey, Director of Development, at [email protected].

About Voices

Voices is our signature annual celebration of our youth and our life changing programming. Voices provides a platform for our members to share their personal journeys, often through spoken word performances. Please check out the videos on this page to learn more about what makes this gala so special.

Voices is also the time when we celebrate and highlight the accomplishments of our honorees – individuals who embody the ideals of The Brotherhood Sister Sol: Positivity, Community, Knowledge and Future. If you have any questions, please contact John Dumey, Director of Development, at [email protected].

Celebrating 25 Years of Youth Development, Mentorship, and Organizing for Social Justice

In 1995, The Brotherhood Sister Sol was founded by two college graduates as a continuation of the work they started as seniors at Brown University, working with young men of color at a nearby community center.

In the years since, BroSis has grown into one of the leading youth development and social justice organizations in the nation. We have served thousands of young people, developing a generation of leaders committed to social justice and confronting racism, sexism, homophobia, patriarchy, and poverty.

Please stay connected with us for updates on our Voices 2021 celebration , and follow @BroSis512 on InstagramTwitter, and Facebook, and LinkedIn to see the life-changing legacy of #BroSis25!
