Located at the Johnny Hartman Plaza, at West 143rd Street & Amsterdam Avenue, 10031.

The vibrant youth members of our Environmental Program lead the way in operating our thriving, youth-run farmers’ market, distributing a wealth of fresh, locally-sourced food to more than thousands of community residents. Visit us!

We accept cash, debit/credit, EBT, WIC, Health Bucks, and FMNP checks.

Our growing youth-run farmers’ market is managed by the young people in our Environmental Program. It runs every Wednesday until the end of November, providing over 5,000 pounds of fresh food to over 2,000 community residents in an area deemed a food desert due to the lack of quality supermarkets and access to fresh produce. One-third of all sales are via NYC “Health Bucks” –  vouchers that support low-income residents with purchasing fresh produce.

Produce sold at the BroSis Green Youth Market is farm-fresh, exclusively New York state grown. We also sell soaps and compost created from our Environmental Learning Center, which we developed as caretakers of the Frank White Memorial Garden. This center houses an operational Urban Farm (yielding over 35 fruit and vegetable varieties), a collaborative design and build project nurtured by our youth members and community residents.

Our youth incorporate interactive food justice and sustainable agriculture activities to engage and educate the community.
