“BroSis is where I found some of my dearest friend

“BroSis is where I found some of my dearest friends—friends who became family. This is where I found community. This is where I found my calling.”

At this year’s Voices Gala, Frank Antonio López shared those words and later went on to recite an original poem called “Sun Rise”.

An alum of BroSis and now one of our Arts Coordinators, Frankie continues to invest in the next generation of leaders and artists. He is also a co-founder of the Peace Poets, whose poetry and music have built community and inspired connection across the United States and in more than 35 countries around the world.

Thank you, Frankie, for sharing your artistry and your voice with us. We are proud to celebrate the leaders who come through our doors and return to help others rise.

We're excited to share that BroSis has been select

We're excited to share that BroSis has been selected as an anchor organization in the Youth Mental Health and Healing Consortium through the @justschoolsfund for the next three years.

Recently, two members of our team traveled to Oakland, California, for a consortium convening, where we connected with fellow cohort organizations, including Equal Justice Alliance, @TheCircleKeepers, @RYSEYouthCenter, and @LA_StudentsDeserve as well as facilitator organizations, @CommsUnited and @PartnersforDignity. Throughout the convening, we learned from Communities United, whose Healing Through Justice framework offered powerful tools and insights for strengthening healing-centered approaches within our organizing work. Together, we built deeper relationships and imagined new possibilities for advancing youth mental health and healing in our communities.

We are deeply grateful to Shop 55 at Oakland High School for welcoming our team and sharing their inspiring work and student wellness center. We are also thankful to RYSE Center for hosting the convening and allowing us to witness their healing-centered practices in action.

As we begin this three-year journey, we look forward to learning alongside our partners, deepening our impact, and helping build a future where young people can thrive.

At BroSis, young people grow into thriving adults

At BroSis, young people grow into thriving adults capable of overcoming challenges and making their goals and dreams a reality. From elementary school through college and into their careers, we support young people at every stage of their journey - helping them build confidence, access opportunity, and envision a future full of possibility.

The transition from high school to college is one of the most critical periods in a young person’s life. Navigating applications, financial aid, academic pressures, and the shift to independence can be overwhelming without the right support system. Our college programming ensures members and families have the tools, guidance, and community they need not only to access higher education, but to succeed once they get there.

Our college pathways programming accomplishes three goals:

• We offer holistic support and guidance to members and their families throughout every stage of the college application process
• We provide financial, academic, and emotional support to young alums as they navigate their college years
• We expose younger BroSis members to colleges and universities, strengthening their belief in what’s possible, and expanding awareness of career pathways after college

Our results represent more than statistics. The outcomes here reflect years of intentional mentorship, guidance, and investment in our young people.
