ISP Member Brooke:
One thing I love about ISP is that there is always something new to learn and explore.Today was a very eventful day three to start off the day we got into our groups for the seminar and started to brainstorm idea on topics. After that we got ready to leave we took the bus for the very first time I really enjoyed the long bus ride because it gave me a chance to look around it reminded me of buses back in New York. On today’s agenda we got to spend some time seeing little children at a daycare center the space was so beautiful and the children were so well behaved and adorable. I felt like I made some kind of connection with all of kids, even the ones that were shy. Once we saw the littles we spent some time with some teenagers. Sharing space with them made me feel like there was a connection because of the similarities in struggle and every day life. One similarity that we shared was gun violence in our communities and how to come together as a community to over come those bad situations. Once that was done we went back to the hotel to get ready for a party. When we arrived we got a VIP section that made me feel really special. At first the party was kind of died but once they started to play better songs the party got better. I would say over all the day was good.
