Rox Costello

Liberation Program Organizer & Facilitator

Rox Costello is a seasoned program manager dedicated to youth empowerment, social justice, and community transformation. They are a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), integrating academic knowledge with practical experience.

Rox’s career encompasses significant roles aimed at fostering inclusivity and advancing social change. At the California Conference for Equality and Justice, they advanced from Youth Mentor to Youth Leadership Coordinator, where they designed and implemented comprehensive social justice programs for youth aged 14-17. They co-facilitated leadership and empowerment curricula, managed program logistics, and provided mentorship on systems of oppression and self-awareness.

In addition, Rox has served as a Program Coordinator for Inclusive Engagement and Student Life at New York University; a Co-Lead Director at the Student Center for Reconciliation and Diversity at Azusa Pacific University (APU); and a psychotherapist specializing in LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent mental health. They have also worked as a case manager for an Assemblymember, contributed to decolonizing general education at APU, and participated in the Social Justice Praxis Committee at NYU to create more equitable practices for all.

Rox’s work is deeply informed by an intersectional understanding of gender, sexuality, class, ethno-racial identity, and disability as they relate to social justice. With strong foundations in leadership, community engagement, and advocacy, they continue to create transformative programming that empowers the next generation of change-makers.”
