James Reddick
After School Teen Enrichment Program Facilitator
James J. Reddick, Jr. is a Harlem born community activist, artist, and program facilitator. He first came into contact with The Brotherhood Sister Sol when he was in middle school. Realizing the constant challenges and issues he had to combat in his community at a young age, he leaned into the Rites of Passage Program at The Brotherhood Sister Sol to work on his core values as a young black man in Harlem. James used the skills and development he gained from his chapter leaders in Brotherhood to propel his career as a youth facilitator and continue the work that BroSis introduced to him. He was also inspired also by his father who also works closely with the community and youth. James has had multiple examples of great leaders in his life and seeing those leaders make impactful changes in the community has influenced him to be his best self and continue to help other youth grow and shine in the same ways his leaders helped him to shine. Ambitious, intelligent, and humble are just a few words that are used to describe James after going through his development as a youth in BroSis.
Since leaving the Brotherhood ROP, James has dedicated himself to serving the community and has worked at PS 73 and Thurgood Marshall Academy. He has worked serving the most vulnerable populations most recently at Manhattan Psychiatric Center and as a Program Coordinator with the Giant Thinking educational program at Rikers Island. Dedicated to the progression and advancement of his community, James continues to strive to better himself and the youth in his community.
