Hana Suliman
College, Career, & Wellness Facilitator
Hana was first introduced to BroSis through their graduate studies at Columbia University, where they had the opportunity to intern with the organization during the summer of 2024. As an intern, they worked closely with the College, Career, and Wellness (CCW) team to develop a community asset map for the department’s Resource Center. While the internship originally fulfilled an academic requirement, it quickly became a deeply meaningful and formative experience. In September 2025, Hana was thrilled to officially join the BroSis team as a full-time CCW Facilitator.
In their current role, Hana supports the Wellness Ambassadors program — a cohort of high school students trained to serve as peer educators and advocates for health and well-being within the organization. They also continue to support the growth of the Resource Center, helping connect youth members, alumni, families, and community members to a wide range of supportive tools, vital services, and opportunities throughout the neighborhood.
Born and raised in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C., Hana now lives on the Upper West Side with their cat, Minnie, and a thriving collection of over 30 houseplants. A dedicated artist, they enjoy working across creative mediums including digital art, graphic design, and videography. In their free time, Hana loves baking sweet treats for friends, going on long gentle walks, and trying new restaurants across the city.
Hana earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Global Public Health and African American and African Studies from the University of Virginia, along with a minor in Studio Art focused on Photography and New Media. Hana completed their Master of Public Health (MPH) at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health in 2025.
