This is my first time out the country and I have been enjoying myself incredibly. Throughout these last ten days I’ve learned so much about myself as a person. To whoever is reading this thank you for giving me the opportunity to be able to travel to another country and experience first hand what other people go through. Today we went to a museum and I finally understood that Cuba isn’t what I thought it was. While at the museum you can see that regardless of the country’s blockade they continue to strive especially through art. The visits today were very interesting especially the literary museum. I never knew how much people took education and knowing how to read and write for granted until I visited this museum, the amount of people who traveled to different areas and begged their parents to learn meant a lot to me because in my school people take learning for granted and it’s really sad. Being in this country made me realize how spoiled America has made me so I am grateful for this experience and hope I have many more.
