Our second day of Cuba went amazingly smoothly. First, we toured 4 plazas in Cuba’s capital Havana. It was extremely hot throughout the tour, but that didn’t take away from the beautiful colorful buildings that were all around the city. It was really cool seeing all the different people like the women in lavish dresses that seem to predate the 1700s-1800s. The city was filled with 1950s cars and had a diverse set of architecture for the buildings.

After we had lunch at a nice restaurant in Havana, we visited the headquarters of the Women’s Federation of Cuba. It was a very informative session. We learned a lot about the politics of Cuba and state of women in Cuban society.
