from 4pm – 6pm at Frank White Memorial Garden (143rd between Hamilton Place & Broadway)

The Brotherhood/Sister Sol invites you to our annual Planting Weeks, which will take place from Monday, April 29th to Friday, May 3rd and again on Monday, May 6th to Thursday, May 9th, 3:00pm to 6:00pm daily in The Frank White Memorial Garden, located at 506 West 143rd Street. We will be having a Garden BBQ on Friday, May 10th from 4-6pm.

During Planting Weeks we welcome all to join us in the garden as we plant annuals, perennials, vegetables and herbs; and as we paint and repair structures, preparing the garden for spring.

Youth Members of our Environmental Program co-facilitate Planting Week, and youth throughout the organization participate in the efforts. Come join us as we celebrate spring and mother earth.

The Brotherhood-Sister Sol Environmental Program is an environmental leadership project for youth ages 14-18. Members maintain the Frank White Memorial Garden adjacent to our brownstone, engage environmental justice projects with other organizations, and manage a local farmers market providing fresh local produce and healthy eating workshops to community residents.
