On Thursday, May 20th at 7:30 pm, The Brotherhood Sister Sol’s Executive Director, Khary Lazarre-White, will be joining JCC’s Social Justice Activist Ruth Messinger, and Dennis Walcott, President, and CEO of Queens Public Library, as a special guest for a virtual conversation on public safety, racial justice, and efforts to reform/transform policing.
On Thursday, May 14th at 2 pm, The Brotherhood/Sister Sol’s Executive Director, Khary Lazarre-White, was featured in an important virtual conversation with Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan’s Social Justice Activist in Residence Ruth Messinger and NYC Council Member Brad Lander to discuss how remote learning and the realities of learning and living during a pandemic has made more evident the inequities of our education system; along with Jose Luis Vilson, a full-time math teacher in Inwood/Washington Heights.
