Mariela Perez-Batista

Licensed Master Social Worker 

With over 15 years of experience, Mariela is proficient in providing clinical services, psycho-social assessments and treatment planning, community engagement, organizing, youth development, and women’s and men’s and adolescent health. For the last thirteen years, she has served in various roles at New York Presbyterian’s Family Planning Practice and Young Men’s Clinic. Prior to that, she worked at Urban Health Plan as the School Health Support Services Program Coordinator.

Mariela earned her Masters of Social Work from Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College and earned her Bachelor’s in Sociology from Rutgers University.

Mariela is a native New Yorker. She is passionate about equitable education for all, social justice, sexual and reproductive justice, and most importantly, the health and well-being of Black and Latinx youth and young adults.
