Lupe Sanchez

Institutional Giving Coordinator

Lupe joins BroSis as an experienced grant writer with a strong track record and a demonstrated commitment to social justice. Most recently, she served as the Manager of Institutional Giving for the City Parks Foundation, where she helped launch the NYC Green Relief & Recovery Fund. Prior to that, Lupe worked as a Development Associate for Auburn Seminary, a leadership development organization at the intersection of faith and social justice. Lupe has also supported the business development team at Better World Advertising, a social marketing firm whose public health and anti-stigma campaigns have been implemented in Harlem and other NYC neighborhoods.    

For many years, Lupe has volunteered with the Migrant Center of New York as a member of the Development Committee and has helped produce their annual film festival. The Migrant Center provides reliable and affordable legal services, resources, education and advocacy programs on behalf of immigrants and refugees. Today, Lupe is an active member of her community garden in East Harlem, where she enjoys composting and taking care of chickens.

Lupe earned a Masters in Public Policy from the Claremont Graduate University after she completed the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs in Southern California. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Humanities from Loyola Marymount University and studied abroad at the Universidad de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico.
