Events & Communications Coordinator
Over three years at NYC Outward Bound, she served as the Donor Database Manager/Development and Events Assistant and tracked all gifts and donor data and produced reports, managed acknowledgement letters, managed all development related invoices, processed online donations and helped prepare for the annual audit. She also served as the Human Resources Associate at Outward Bound and assisted with all recruitment and the hiring process for staff, managed all on-boarding including background checks, financial documentation, and the policy and procedures manual.
In corporate, Katherine was the Assistant to the President for WCA Technologies where she provided operations, marketing and sales support. She worked in scheduling, procurement, billing, prepared presentations and letters and supported IT. In addition, for 3 years she was a Operations Specialist at Fora Financial where she managed all ACH payments, processed financial transactions, maintained files and banking reports, and managed operational procedures.
Katherine earned her BA in Sociology with a minor in Business Management from SUNY Stony Brook. She is bi-lingual in Spanish and English and is a native of Washington Heights. In her spare time, Katherine enjoys volunteering at local organizations, traveling, visiting art galleries & exhibits, attending music festivals, and professional salsa dancing.
