Christian Pappas

Career & Workforce Coordinator

Christian is an experienced workforce development professional with over 10 years experience in the nonprofit sector. His experience has ranged from implementing career development services to managing/constructing social enterprise businesses for individuals seeking opportunity. He has focused on strengthening community based partnerships for organizations seeking to create employment opportunities for individuals in need. He has worked at many nonprofit agencies within the NYC Metro Area including, Goddard Riverside Community Center, Urban Pathways and Project Renewal. He most recently worked at Project Renewal as a Learning and Development Manager, assisting with building and managing hard/soft skills training programs for folks seeking continued professional development. 

Prior to his experience in workforce development, he worked in a series of applied psychology settings, which include Baylor College of Medicine in Houston,TX and Yale University. He provided both clinical services and research based practice. Christian graduated from Vassar College in 2007 with a B.A. in Psychology. He completed his Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University Teachers College in 2014.His focus has been on helping folks navigate the many personal and systemic challenges that manifest in accessing opportunity. This is core to his personal mission and the work that he does.

Christian is originally from New Orleans and has been living in the NYC Metro Area for over 12 years. In his free time, he likes to volunteer at his local community garden in Brooklyn. He loves spicy foods of all kinds and is often eating his way through new cities. He is excited to be a new member of the BroSis family and is looking forward to working within the community.
